New Brookland Tavern w/ The Gaslight Anthem
Cost : $5/7
Unless you have been hiding under a rock you’ve noticed how fast Marry a Thief rushed onto the South Carolina music scene and made an immediate impact. This is what happens when artists as talented as these guys get together.
If you haven’t seen them lately you’ll noticed that they have added another dimension to their music. As Colin said it, Aaron Robertson will be the 5th guy on stage standing behind a mountain of keyboards.
You can get a listen to the “Every Little Star Remix” on their Myspace. If you were lucky enough to attend their CD release party last year then you would have gotten a free copy of the original version of this song which was on Erich’s solo CD ‘One More Smile, Fake As the Night is Blue’. If you weren’t able to attend just go over to Itunes and download it.
I suggest you come see these guys now and enjoy them while they are still on the local/regional level. In less than a year they are averaging over 100 plays a day on Myspace, singing duets with Manchester Orchestra and on the weekly Staff Recommendations on Absolute Punk.
The best part about this band is that they are super nice guys who work hard. They deserve it and have earned it so lets help them get to the next level.
