A few months back we advised everyone to go to Haley Shaw’s show at New Brookland Tavern. A few days after that show she moved to Nashville to pursue a career in music and that show at New Brookland turned out to be her last show in SC for a little while. We also mentioned that she has a new album coming out and we finally get to hear some of the tracks off the album. According to The Sixty One the album is titled “Pretty Hearts and Barricades.” You can find them on her Myspace and also a new a website called The 61.
The Sixty One describes itself as “A Music Adventure” and is way more interactive than Myspace. The 61 is based on a point system where you can earn and distribute points to the bands that you are a fan of. You can choose favorite songs and make playlists and have your own radio station. Tons of cool features. Right now there aren’t a lot of bands on here, so hopefully it won’t get overdone and corporate like Myspace.
