Atlanta area singer/songwriter Angie Aparo has made a living off of country music. Is he country? Definitely not, but I guess when your song “Cry” becomes a huge hit when it is sung by Faith Hill you take what you can get. Despite his dealings with country artists Tim McGraw, Big & Rich, Diana Digarmo and others Angie has stayed true to his own unique musical vision, and that vision produces unreal vocals some of the most well written acoustic/rock songs you’ve ever heard.
Angie has performed in many formats over the years, from intense rock act the Infidels, to a three-piece acoustic band, his voice is always present and is consistently amazing. I realize that a lot of music writers gush about vocals, but Angie Aparo is the real deal and then some. Just check out this clip for proof. In addition, his acoustic shows bring out the true entertainer in Angie. He is absolutely hilarious in a completely sarcastic and irreverent way.
In short, even if you have never heard his music you will have a great time. However if obscenities bother you I’d suggest plugging your ears in between songs. But either way you will have a great time. Angie is also extremely personable and great to share a beer with after his shows.
