Twilight Armada headline New Brookland Tavern this Friday night with a strong supporting cast that are all different enough to keep your attention, but to not too different where you have to walk down to House Coffee and hang out for 45 minutes. Twilight Armada’s style sounds a lot like bands of the late 90’s and early 2000’s on Jade Tree and Deep Elm Records. Last Wednesday night some had the chance to get a closer listen to the songs broken down as Josh Pike played Acoustic at the Singer Songwriter night at Delaneys with David A. and Bentz Kirby.
Shallow Palace will surely have the crowd pumped early with their straight up Rock n Roll. Hopefully they can recreate their Burlesque show performance at Headliners with half nude girls on stage pouring fake blood all over everything and everybody. That night I was filled with PBR and I was happy.
Calculator will kick off the night making their second appearance at NBT, but this time with a slightly different line-up. Friends and Romans/Nick Bays drummer Michael Crawford will join in on drums and the word on the street is that they are debuting a new song. They are also in the process of recording a couple more right now. I am campaigning that everyone bring a calculator to the show, type in 58008, turn it upside down and hold it up. If 20 people do this, Tyler will take off his shirt for “Dirty Bubble.”
