The past few days of our lives have been reminders of how amazingly blessed we are as a group of people to do what we do.
We’ve welcomed back Sean Pritchard as our tour manager. Great to have him back with us on the road. We’ve also been honored to have our buddy, Creigh, on the road selling merchandise and helping us document this tour.
Our tour started with an afternoon acoustic show in Macon, Georgia, one of our favorite towns to play in. The next day we traveled to Douglasville, Georgia for the first time as a band and played a great show with our friends and labelmates O’Brother. We have the privilege of sharing the first 2 weeks of our summer tour with these guys. They are an amazing band and incredible people. One of our favorite bands to tour with.
The next day we traveled to Columbus, Georgia, and endured unbelievable temperatures as we played some frisbee in the parking lot before the show.
We drove through the night to Jackson, MS for the next show. We arrived at about 8:00am and crashed for a few hours. Woke up and hung out for a bit. Took a swim and even some underwater pictures at a friend’s pool with an underwater camera that we found at a Goodwill. Hopefully, you all will see those soon. That night, we had an amazing show with a great group of guys in Jackson called Signals. Honestly, one of the most fulfilling shows we’ve played in a very long time.
We then drove to Shreveport, Louisiana the next morning where we had an awesome cookout. Many of us had crawfish for the first time. The folks in Louisiana know how to show South Carolina/Georgia boys a good ole’ Creole time.
Today, we drive to Plano, TX to continue our tour with O’Brother. We’re looking to the continuation of this tour.
Also, for you, our fans who are great supporters of what we do, we will be releasing a lot of material of the next few weeks. Be on the lookout for some acoustic songs, some videos, and some pictures documenting what’s been happening on our summer tour.
Continue to check our MySpace page as well and see if we are coming to a town near you. If you’ve been to one of the shows already on this tour, thank you SO much for being there and showing your support. Be sure to come back and see us we are near you.
Looking forward to seeing all of you on the road.
