Hub-Bub is the heart of the arts in Spartanburg, SC. They cater to the creative culture by hosting an innovative Artist-Residence program and over 100 nights of arts, culture and entertainment a year in their Showroom and Performance Hall. This Thursday they will host Eleni Mandell all the way from Los Angeles, California.
As Eleni Mandell tours the nation, her song “Forget Me” can be heard in the new movie I Love You, Beth Cooper starring Hayden Panettiere and funnyman Paul Rust. While this song sounds like it could also be on the sountrack for Josie and The Pussycats, her other songs seem to have a lot more substance.
Most of her comparisons range Tom Waits to PJ Harvey, rather than Josie and The Pussycats and new Liz Phair.
It isn’t that often that a small show of substance comes to Spartanburg, so if you are in the upstate go out and enjoy it. You only have to drive 15 minutes instead of an hour to Asheville.
