The perfect way to celebrate the first weekend of fall would be a trip to the Flat Rock Music Festival to hear some great SC artists.
Hannah Miller is participating in the Emerging Singer Songwriter competition from 10AM-12AM and will then play an in the round set later that night. If we had anything to do with it she would be playing one of the prime time spots on the main stage.
The woman, the myth, the legend, Danielle Howle, has the main stage from 2:45-4:00 and will also teach you a thing or two at her Saturday morning workshop (9:00am-10:00am Danielle Howle – gyro kinesis – “Movement For Musicians”).
If these two artists aren’t enough to convince you to make the drive, then check out the rest of the lineup.

My only question is, will I stay for both Sam Quinn and Japan Ten sets? Right now I am saying yes, but after being at a music festival for 12 hours, I’m not sure I’ll feel the same way.
Sam Quinn is one half of The Everybodyfields. The half that wasn’t at The Watershed 2 weeks ago. The half that was at The Evening Muse in Charlotte in July and the half that put on an amazing show there. I believe I’ll stay.
