In 2009 Project Nicaragua teamed up with local bands and shows to help promote their products and raise awareness of their cause. Last week they made their first food drop and it was hugely successful to say the least. Project Nic is the first of many future projects from One Thread Outfitters, who plan to launch in Febuary with new apparel and accessories.
It’s not too late for you to become involved though. Project Nic is still active, so go buy a shirt today as a Christmas present and let everyone in your family know about what they are doing. Tell your friends from home over Christmas break and spread the word.

There is so much to say. We will start with thanks. Thanks for making our first drop a success. Over 8000 meals received, 800 people fed, and two guys eternally humbled. But there is so much more left to do. Even with an old school bus filled with food, we had to turn people away. There are families starving still right now. So with that, we want to remind you that the fight for enough is an ongoing one, and we at One Thread Outfitters are just getting started.
Over the next months, we will be working on some internal infrastructure. Project Nicaragua was a huge success, and with the places we want to go, its imperative we take some time to prepare ourselves. This is how it will look, Onethreadoutfitters.com will soft launch early February with some quality apparel and accessory items we are very excited about. The Project Nicaragua collection is still very much active and the ProjNic shirt will still provide forty meals. So continue to buy, continue to feed. As we build towards our full launch slated for Spring 2011, we want your input. One Thread is about humanity and family; consider yourself apart of ours. Make sure to begin following the OTO twitter as we will be seeking your input on collections, potential projects, and your feedback on how we can best provide the fashionable clothing you want.
In the coming weeks, we will be releasing pictures and journal excerpts from Mark and Patrick’s experience on the 2009 drop. You will not want to miss those updates. Plans for 2010 and ’11 project drops are already underway; and we are excited to announce that we want you to not just buy, but also join us as we meet the needs of those we are serving around the world. More details on how you can join a drop team to come.
In short, great things are happening. We want you to be apart of it. So follow, buy, donate to our wonderful partners, and above all, join the fight for enough in your everyday life. There’s a lot of work to do.
