House of Softcore (806 Florence Street, Columbia, SC 29201)
Every house show we’ve had at The House of Softcore so far has been amazing and somehow topped the last, so we are super excited to have Death of Paris, David Reed and Marshall Brown this Thursday night.
Death of Paris is currently gearing up for their first full band show August 20th at New Brookland Tavern. This house show will give listeners a chance to hear the more organic side of the band and a listen inside their new synth pop sound.
So far this summer David Reed has been showing off his full band around Columbia and throughout the Southeast. He’ll also be supporting Death of Paris on their August 20th show, but Thursday night we’ll bring him back to playing solo in an intimate way that only the House of Softcore can provide.
Opening the show will be Marshall Brown, who has been playing in Columbia since about 2002, but has recently taken a break after all of his bands stuff was stolen after a show from Art Bar. By taken a break, I mean from the live scene, he has been writing and recording songs for the last year and I’ve been lucky enough to hear them and be amazed by them. For the last couple of weeks he has been playing acoustic night at New Brookland Tavern and amazing people with his voice. Think Beach Boys meets Donovan.
