Luke Chapter 10:
30 In reply Jesus said: “A squirrel was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when an automobile bearing teenagers screeched around a slick country road. They stripped him of his intestines, bonked him on the head, and
sped away, leaving him half dead.
31 A priest happened to be driving down the same road, and when he saw the squirrel, he passed by on the other side.
32 So too, a Levite that drove to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.
33 But a Samaritan, as he traveled, drove to where the squirrel was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him.
34 He went to the squirrel and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine.
Then he put the squirrel in his own passenger seat, took him to an inn and took care of him.
35 The next day he took out two benjamins and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look
after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense
you may have.’
36 The innkeeper then hesitantly replied, “Uh…I ate that squirrel.”
37 The crowd looked confused, and Jesus said, “Don’t try and be a good samaritan when it comes to rodents. But if you’re gonna eat it, eat it……..before someone else does.”
