Harps-Trouble is a Friend (Lenka Cover)
Harps is the new solo/collaboration project from former Marry a Thief drummer Colin Brown featuring former Marry a Thief keyboardist and remix master Aaron Robertson.
Brown has been playing drums mostly as a “hired gun” lately in search of finding a fit in a new band. Not being happy with bouncing around he decided to start his own project to funnel some of his creative energy. Originally Brown just wanted to play drums with Harps, but finding a singer who wasn’t busy was no easy task. Colin decided to take on the role of singing himself.
All of the recording for the new album is being done in Aaron Robertson’s studio in Charlotte. The band plans for a digital release in the coming months and to start playing as a live band this summer. The record will be called Marvelous Cheer.
The Lenka cover featured here is inspired by Colin’s bad ass dog, Riff Raff.
