Back in the oh so great year of 2004 KFC put out one of the greatest commercials ever seen on television. In that commercial Dale Jr. was riding around the racetrack eating some fried chicken, because he was on the Dale Jr. diet. He ate what tastes good. On June 7 Dale Jr. Jr. will drop their first album It’s a Corporate World and introduce the world to what sounds good.
These guys are about to be everywhere, including The Earl in Atlanta tonight. Their album is still a couple of weeks away but I suggest you jump on the bandwagon early. Spin and Stereogum considered them one of the best new bands of 2010. Their new album might give them one of the best releases of 2011.
DEJJ hail from Michigan, which seems to be a hot spot of melodic electronic music. Stepdad and Nathan K., who we’ve covered on SceneSC before, work that same electronic angle.
