The Magnetic Flowers are still a band?? I thought they were on hiatus?
One day they’re taking a break, the next they are playing a show. And thank goodness they are still playing shows because they are one of the best live bands around. More than any other band, how good a Magnetic Flowers show is is directly proportional to how many drinks you’ve had. So let them loosen you up and you’ll dance the night away with robots and the what-have-you of Art Bar. Who thinks it’s time for a new Magnetic Flowers record? Keep your ear to the ground.
The Sea Wolf Mutiny and Elonzo will be opening up the show playing together for the first time since Meredith’s birthday late last August. Both bands have come a very long way since this time last year and both have established themselves as top tier South Carolina bands with the release of both of their albums. Elonzo is already on to new material which can be streamed at the top of this page. The Sea Wolf Mutiny is coming fresh off the release of their album “The Last Season” just weeks ago and has maintained a steady rise in fans along the way. It happens at least once a week that someone tells me how much they love Elonzo or TSWM and I just say “I know, they’re great.”
