The night before Wilco’s much anticipated album The Whole Love hits the streets we’ll be hosting a listening party at New Brookland Tavern with drink specials and giveaways.
Wilco’s Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is a landmark album on the music timeline for an entire generation of music listeners. The album is well documented in the 2002 documentary “I am Trying to Break Your Heart” which took Wilco from a upper echelon indie rock band to new heights of respect and legend. A well told story of one label rejecting a record and a band sticking by their instincts, “I am Trying to Break Your Heart” captured an inside candid look at Wilco as people and a band. Their follow up went on to earn two Grammy nods and the rest is history. While their record sales have never been monumental, their respect among fans and critics has never wavered.
On Monday September 26 we’ll be giving away 2 autographed posters(extremely rare), copies of the album, and 50 Wilco posters.
