How would you describe your sound to someone that has never heard your band?
We tend to stick around the word “pop.” if that needs to be expanded upon, folk-pop? indie-pop? indie-folk-pop? Whimsical is a word that has been thrown around, and we don’t run from that.
Who are some of your biggest musical influences?
All of our friends in Columbia that make music and the community that has come out of that. Community has such a big effect on pushing musicians to do their best and try new things. Also, punk rock and Elephant 6.
What other bands are you excited about seeing at Music Crawl?
Say Brother, Hammer No More The Fingers, and 2/3rds of our band are in Coma Cinema, so we are excited about that, too.
What are you most excited about for the future of your band?
Our new album! Tomahawk of Praise! on January 17! On Fork & Spoon Records!
