Lots of times these previews give you the skinny on new bands coming up in the SC Scene. Â Well, the Blue Dogs are a little different in that these guys have been around for almost 25 years. Â I can say that their tunes were definitely on a mix tape from a high school beau or two. Having seen the band many a times, I can tell you that you’re in for a packed house of all ages having a danceable, good time.
This show will feature Patrick Blanchard of the Shawn Mullins Band on guitar and special guest Darren Shumaker on Mandolin. Â Opening is the band Crowfield, who like the dogs are based in Charleston, SC. Crowfield released their second album this summer and are fronted by the epically bearded Tyler Mecham. The show is 18 and up or with a parent and tickets are $15.
