WUSC Presents: Drip Acoustic Night   Wednesday, Feb 22  Drip Coffee, Five Points, Columbia, SC
Featuring Jade Blocker, Phil Windsor, and Kelly Morris   7-9pm  FREE
This Wednesday begins the first of a series of acoustic nights that USC’s radio station WUSC is putting on. There will be one every month and they will feature brilliant artists from around the Columbia area. Each artist gets a half hour set and it will be intimate and acoustic and just beautiful. The admission is free but a percent of the products bought at Drip will go to WUSC to keep them on air.
This night features three great artists from Columbia. The first, playing from 7-7:30 will be Jade Blocker. (http://www.myspace.com/jadeblocker) She will be a wonderful way to open the show and will be sure to impress those who have never heard of her before. Next is Phil Windsor, or Ghosts of the Great Highway, (bandcamp). SceneSC have covered him many times and he’s played a lot of great shows including one with Kopecky Family Band. The final act will be playing from 8:30-9 and it’s Kelly Morris, the singer of the band The Mobros. I saw him play an open mic recently and he was absolutely amazing. There are a lot of acoustic events in Columbia, SC and this will be another great addition. Be sure to check it out.
