The last couple of weeks have been surreal for The Explorers Club. They’ve toured up and down the East coast in support of their new album “Grand Hotel” and seen that album shoot to #27 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart after one week of sales. All of the rewards are finally paying off after what at times seemed like an album that was so far away. Most of the album was written three years ago and recorded in 2010. 2011 served as a year of prepping an album that not only the band, but the management truly believed in. So don’t be surprised if you happen to hear a song or two on the radio, especially if you’re in the Charleston area.
In addition to their big Charleston CD release show coming up Friday, March 2 at The Pour House, The Explorers Club has planned an in-store performance at Monster Music and Movies the next day at 2 PM. You’ll be able to get your vinyl autographed, take pictures with the band, and maybe even test Kyle Polk’s knowledge of David Bazan. Clay White will also be available to answer questions about his favorite horns.
