[New Music] French Camp

Before moving to New York, Owen Beverly was seemingly at the peak of his songwriting career with his band Tent Revival. A band made up of members that had all flirted with major record labels at some time in their life. Tent Revival had an attitude behind them that didn’t seem to care what people thought. What Tent Revival also had were five of the best songs written around these parts, including Legs and Scars, an instant classic.

Growing up in Mississippi before his stint in Charleston, Beverly owes a lot of his musical influences to the region he is from. With French Camp everything comes through at times. It’s still full of soul and his distinguishable bassy vibrato shines as always on the new tracks.

French Camp will be playing Columbia, SC April 12 at 5 Points Pub.
