This Saturday, CherryCase returns home for a set of shows you won’t want to miss. Since moving to Nashville in July, frontman, Jake Etheridge, and drummer, Taylor Desseyn, have been busy.
After a successful kickstarter campaign, CherryCase was able to shoot a music video for one of their new singles, “War Song”. With the help of Fisher Films, the video will be released in the next few months. Right now they are working on a new EP that Etheridge says will be released sometime in July. The EP will feature a lot of newer songs from Nashville, including the “War Song”. CherryCase is also working on a summer tour that Desseyn says will take them from Columbia, all the way up to New York City and back.On top of all of this, yesterday CherryCase was asked to open for The Fray in Ohio. Unfortunately, after talks with their touring manager a mutual decision was made that it was too short notice.
Even with all of this going on CherryCase will make it home to Columbia this Saturday to play a set of shows. First, CherryCase will be playing a FREE show with songwriter Rob Crosby as part of the The 6th Annual RiverWalk Music Festival. Etheridge and Crosby have written multiple songs together since CherryCase’s move to Nashville, and the pairing will not disappoint. The show starts at 2pm, with CherryCase taking the stage at 5:30pm, followed by Crosby. The location of this show is the RiverWalk Amphitheater in West Columbia, SC.
After playing at the RiverWalk, CherryCase will make their way to Bey’s to play a saturday-night set starting around 10:30pm.
Make sure you get to either of these shows this weekend. Also making the trip from Nashville will be Columbia-native and local heart-throb, Taylor Bray. He’ll be playing bass with CherryCase, and you should know Bray from mastering SceneSC’s sampler this year. That’s even more of a reason to get to one of the shows, have a drink, and party with the CherryCase boys.
