2013 Spring Skunk Fest
April 12-13
Spring Skunk Music Fest is back in 2013. Moving to the second weekend April, with a handful of fine local and regional acts already booked, the Upstate’s unique music extravaganza on the Skunk Farm has become a must attend festival for music enthusiasts.
Held in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains just North of Greer, SC,the annual fall festival expanded in 2010, offering a Spring Fest for those of us that couldn’t get enough. Hosted by Glenn and Susan Ziegler at their farm, Albino Skunk Fest is a laid back music festival that you can camp and bring your kids to. Their goal is to offer a “family reunion” type atmosphere. And that’s what they’ve done over the years, keeping a core group coming back, while drawing in new fans at the same time.
While the festival features mostly bluegrass and porch picking music, they also offer a range of roots music including Folk and Americana. While this years lineup has yet to be finalized, some of the bands already booked include River Whyless, Sol Driven Train, Lake Street Dive, and Mic Harrison and the High Score. More additions will be announced in the coming months from their media sponsors, WNCW 88.7, and 88.3 The Range.
