Columbia’s Fork and Spoon Records started off 2013 with a new project where they post a casually recorded song accompanied with a casual drawing by Jordan Blackmon. This weeks casual song comes via Patrick Jeffords (Toro y Moi) and his project Kid Trails. Jeffords recorded the song in the Fork and Spoon living room. The same living room that hosts Fork and Spoon’s potlucks where they bring the music community together.
In addition to playing bass in Toro y Moi, Jeffords also was part of a collaboration project with Sam Ray (Rickyeatacid), Katie Lee (Braids), and Mat Cothran (Elvis Depressedly) called Gremlins.
We ranked that Gremlins EP as one of the Top 25 albums of 2012 in our top albums of the Carolina’s for Shuffle Magazine.
