Today’s music market is very unique to say the least. As everyone is trying to figure out how to navigate the ever-changing market, Andy Lehman is taking the free approach with his new album Badlands.
When we first saw Lehman performing acoustic in 2008, his talent as a musician and songwriter was clear. And for the last two years Lehman and crew hunkered down to focus on writing and recording their newest full length album released in October of 2012. This approach created a special connection with his fans, showing the true reason why he’s releasing music. While all musicians would like to make a living playing music, early on, it’s never easy to sell music. These days, it’s never easy to sell music no matter what level you’re at. Lehman cares more about his fans hearing the narrative of his music, and walking the path with him. The new album is more polished, and shines with Lehman’s personal melodic touch.
Feb 1 marks Lehman’s first hometown show of 2012 at The Channel, with support from former Upstate (now Charleston) up-and-comers The Tarlatans.
I know that video has the wrong information at the beginning, we’ll just have to deal with it. 🙂
