“One Alarm” is the first single released from Southern Femisphere’s upcoming album Houses due out July 2nd via Fork and Spoon Records. The single debuted this morning at The Creative Intersection who nailed it with their Sleater-Kinney likening.
It’s ironic that earlier today I was blasting the new Waxahatchee in my office when my coworker came in and asked me if that type of 90’s indie rock was making a comeback. And yeah it is, but I’m not sure if it was ever really gone. It is however moving back towards the mainstream. “One Alarm” bleeds of 80’s and 90’s straightforward indie rock, with its tempo changes, and running angular guitar lines.
If you love it share it and support it.
