While gearing up for their show Thursday at The Handlebar opening for Southeastern road cowboy The Kernal, Mountain Homes released a fine new song from their upcoming album due out in late March or early April.
This is the first material from the band since their 2012 EP Songs of Loss and Longing, and their first since the band slimmed down to 4 members. The Amalfi Coast is a laid back folk tune, telling the story of Grace, a woman that moved from Italy to Nebraska. The song gently crashes in like a wave, flowing through two verses and gracefully stepping away. A bright debut to what looks to be a stellar release from one of the upstate’s premier Americana bands.
