Now that the Olympics are officially over Shaun White can start to focus on his band Bad Things and their new self titled album that came out January 21 this year. Last summer Bad Things came onto the national scene with a single titled “Caught Inside” that caught the ears of many and saw them play tour dates including night slots at Lollapalooza.

While Shaun White seems to be stealing the headlines for this band, he’s only 1/5 of the band that features other notable members such as former Augustana bass player Jared Palomar. Vocals are split between drummer Lena Zawaideh and Davis LeDuke, while guitar duties are split between White and Anthony Sanudo. Having one of the best athletes on earth in a rock band is of course going to grab headlines, but the album does impress for mainstream rock that leans on indie rock influences, maybe because of producer Rob Schnapf (Beck, Elliot Smith, Tokyo Police Club).
