The Goonie$ are hard at work with yet another 2014 release. This time it’s from front man $pidey who recently dropped a ten track EP entitled The Beach via Sole Food Music. The release comes on the heals of fellow Goonie$ member Towns well received Equivocations EP which dropped in mid April. The compilation features guest appearances from Barak Jacuzzi, Jean Michaels, and Nate Shuls. Although there are plenty of guest spots $pidey has a few solo tracks which is something we haven’t seen too often from the budding rapper. “We Outchea” and “Can’t Fight It” give the lyricist a chance to showcase his solo artistry as the records come across like conscious streams of thought. With tracks like “Mile$tone” and “The Connection” the overall EP puts you in a state of relaxation while pondering everyday life just beneath the surface, similar to the affects of being on an actual beach. $pidey successfully executes his vision with this new release and The Beach provides the perfect sounds for vibing on lazy summer days. Haven’t heard the new project yet? You can listen to $pidey’s The Beach below.
