Atlas Road Crew claim Charleston, SC as their home-base, but they’ve seen much more of the inside of their van over the past two years than Folly Beach or Sullivan’s Island. Their new song “Voices” is a testament to their growth as musicians and is easily the bands best sounding song to date.
“Voices” is just a sample of what the band has in store. Over the last couple of months they’ve spent time outside Atlanta in Stone Mountain, Georgia recording with Grammy Award winning producer Rick Beato (NeedtoBreathe) along with recording this song among others a week later with Corey Plaugh at Plaugh’s House Studio in Columbia, SC. Plaugh captured the live energy that earned the band a large following in Columbia when they were students at the University of South Carolina and have since honed playing town to town. “Voices” oozes with Southern rock soul and confidence, guitar solos that seem to melt through your speakers paired with lead singer Taylor Nicholson best vocal performance to date.
Atlas Road Crew has no plans to slow down any time soon. In addition to their upcoming album due out in February 2015, Atlas Road Crew get back on the road in late October including a big Halloween show at the new Music Farm Columbia before heading up the East coast. Self booking and hard work paid off big this year when ARC joined Burlington, VT based booking agency Hoplite Music, who have taken control of their booking and given the guys more time to focus on their music and live show as they bring their southern twang to new markets.
