[Video] Owen Beverly-The Devils in the Details

In support of his first solo album in six years, Owen Beverly released the video for “Devils in the Details” today through Charleston City Paper. The video shows Beverly seemingly possessed as the video cuts between shots of him standing in front of Folly Road in Charleston and cemetery shots filmed at Greenwood Cemetery near Beverly’s home in Park Slope, Brooklyn.

For Owen Beverly Amager is a return to his Southern roots in many ways. Though this song has more of a Radiohead vibe, much of the new album pays a return visit to his country and blues Delta upbringing with European undertones. He recorded the album outside of Copenhagen in Amager, Denmark with Tore Nissen. Nissen and Beverly tour together in popular European band Oh Land. Nissen’s electronic influence shines through most on this track, being more subtle and textural throughout the album.
