Gearing up for a spring tour with fellow South Carolina synth rockers Signs of Iris, Death of Paris headlined New Brookland Tavern, playing for the first time with their new drummer Johnny Gornati. That tour doesn’t officially kick off until 3/13 at the Radio Room in Greenville, a dive venue that’s embraced touring bands, and has become a second home to many local bands. This show at New Brookland Tavern was part of a three-day run of dates with Brooklyn based band Hank & Cupcakes who are now out touring on their recent album Cash for Gold. The two bands mesh well, with layered synth and guitars matched with pop melodies. Florence based indie rockers Youngster opened impressing playing new songs set for an upcoming release.
