Milton Hall – Out West (Alt. Version) from FurrReel on Vimeo
With a handful of shows on the horizon Milton Hall unveiled two videos last week for his song “Out West.” The double video filmed by bandmate John Furr features alternate versions of the song, one with a fuzzed out slacker rock feel and the other with a shoegaze vibe, both versions working equally well. Furr and Hall used the first fuzzed out version as a template for the alternate, with swirling transparent layers of video creating a psychedelic haze.
Hall isn’t known for playing much live, but that’s changing this Spring with a couple of high-profile shows including a show at Odditorium in Asheville with Elvis Depressedly and Arts and Draughts at The Columbia Museum of Art. Since moving to Asheville Mat Cothran’s project Elvis Depressedly has been steadily on the rise, with steady tour dates and a new album on the way via Run for Cover Records.
