What’s the first album you remember loving as a kid?
Probably either What’s Going On? by Marvin Gaye or Photographs & Memories by Jim Croce. Both were a big part of my childhood.
What as the first album you bought with your own money?
I think it was a Toby Keith Greatest Hits. I bought it because it was something Mom would allow me to play in the car with her.
What was the first local band you were a fan of?
I would have to definitely say Elonzo. I saw them my freshman year in college and fell in love. That is one of the projects that inspired me to actually start playing.
What’s the most recent album you bought or have been listening to lately?
Well last time I was at Papa Jazz I bought a Vinyl of What’s Going On? by Marvin Gaye and I have wanted that for a while. That album will always be relevant to me.
Do you have any upcoming plans for new music or shows?
Well I plan on trying to release a new album by the end of this year and I will be touring a lot the rest of the year. The next couple of weeks I will be playing a few shows in the South East and then I’ll be heading out West for a couple of weeks. Two shows in particular I am looking forward to playing to are June 23 State Street Session with The High Divers, Young Mister, and John Gold (Fl), and July 9th at Dive N’ Boar in Greenville, SC with She Returns From War and My Girl My Whiskey & Me.
