How did Them Days Are Long come together and what’s the story about the album?
Jake & Amy: Basically, the original plan was going to be to release a split 7 inch with just Jackson, Leave Ya Hangin’, and Apples on a Stick. But the vinyl turn around time was ridiculously long for a reasonable price and a ridiculously expensive for a reasonable turn around time. So we decided to put our heads down and work harder in order to put out a full length to CD and digital format. Which left us with little time to complete the project and in that gave us that kind of “fire under the ass” motivation. Within this situation, it brought about tracks such as The Rings of Saturn, Past Midnight, and Everlasting Home.
