“Boston Pizzeria” is the closing track and namesake to Quality Time’s most recent album. All three band members are now in Tom Angst, with Quality Time serving as frontman Pearson Parham’s main outlet for his deeply personal lyrics documenting his life. The song title references the restaurant where Parham worked at the time, a song that’s also influenced by late night front porch talks with friends.
This album went a little under the radar when it came out in February, but is deserving of more attention, especially for fans of bands like Modern Baseball and Sorority Noise. With the rise of Tom Angst in the South Carolina music scene and a new release out, Quality Time is on the back-burner, but hopefully that doesn’t mean Boston Pizzeria will their final release.
