After returning home from tour in March as the long time bass player of Toro y Moi, Kid Trails frontman Patrick Jeffords again turned his creativity to his own music writing “My Own Place”, a coming of age song questioning life and where to be. Shot in the Bay Area on the California coast, the video shows off the region while offering a more distinct southern style musically. The opening twangy guitar lick on “My Own Place” sets it apart from anything on Rising, Kid Trails last album released one year ago, but doesn’t stray too far from the smooth and melodic acoustic pysch-rock that it is at the core.
Kid Trails returns to South Carolina and New Brookland Tavern December 22 with Mikey Collins and She Returns from War.
