The hardest part to believe about Don’t Sweat it Fest being in its seventh year is that it’s still taking place in The Courtroom, which has become one of the state’s longest running consistent venues and in such an unlikely place. Bands who have played there love it, and locals love going to shows there. Festival organizer and overall man behind the space Mike Gentry has done amazing things for the music scene in Rock Hill. Proof is in this year’s lineup, which is the festival’s best yet.
Again this year the festival utilizes the back dock with Saturday shows starting early enough where you can find some shade, past years have gotten a bit steamy. The lineup pulls from local talent and then stretches out with bands from all over the state plus two of the festivals biggest gets in Naked Naps from North Carolina and Lee Bains and the Glory Fires from Alabama.
