What’s the first album you remember loving as a kid?
Mad Man Across the Water by Elton John was definitely the first album. My dad would play it while cleaning the house when I was a kid. I remember thinking, “Every song on this is amazing.”
What as the first album you bought with your own money?
Lynyrd Skynyrd greatest hits. I was obsessed with the song “Simple Man”. It still gives me chills.
What was the first local band that caught your ear?
When I was twenty one I saw Marcus King play. He was real young. Like sixteen and I was very impressed. You could tell he was next level.
What’s the most recent album you bought or have been listening to lately?
My new favorite song is “Go to Town” by Doja cat tho lol. I also like stuff that’s got a light hearted vibe and catchy hook. I’ve been really enjoying Charles Bradley lately. So much pain and soul in his voice.
What do you have in store for 2019?
We are recording a full length album. Our first. We are still tracking but it’s well on the way. I want to work with some visual artists and shoot some videos. I want to get as many people exposed to our music as possible.
