What’s going on in the SC music scene?
Happy Monday! David here.
After “Best of” season it sometimes takes the music scene a little bit of time to ramp up for the year. In this modern climate, artists need to release early and often to build up their Spotify social media scorecard to share at the end of the year. May you all find thousands of new listeners.
Good news for subscribers, we’ll be hosting an Enter to Win free tickets contesteach week for our subscribers to win tickets to local shows. We’re excited to have the support of several venues across the state including The Royal American, The Radio Room, and New Brookland Tavern.
This week you can ENTER HERE (password is “subscribe”) to win free tickets to see Justin Osborne of Susto and Hunter Park of She Returns from WarWednesday night at New Brookland Tavern. This one’s a quick turnaround, so we’ll choose the winner and notify them via email at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16.

On Thursday evening Gabe Crawford and Cassidy Spencer of GAMINE dropped by the studio to perform a few songs and have a chat. This was my first opportunity to have any sort of extended conversation with them about the music community and their work, so it was great to catch up. In addition to their work together in GAMINE, both Cassidy and Gabe have several active projects. Follow them to stay up to date.
