I am Carpenter’s info on their Facebook page reads more like a musician graveyard than a band roster, and I don’t think it’s been updated in a little while. Like an orb at the center of a rotating lineup is Stephen Cathcart, the emotional singer and cathartic songwriter. On their upcoming album (My God), Clara, Cathcart lays it all on the line in a 12 song emotional battle that seems to be more with himself than the fictional Clara in the album title.

Listening through the album one song stood out among the rest and it happens to be the song which they’ve filmed a video for. “Bones” slows the pace and carries a heavy hand as it swirls through for 5 steady minutes. The video carries the same steady repetitious scenes wrapping around the song like a well fit suit.

My God, Clara releases August 24th.
