If you’ve had your ears open around the Columbia airwaves (92.1 The Palm) lately you might have heard Family of the Year’s new single “Hero”. They’re a band that is steadily on the rise, flowing on the back of male/female folky pop bandwagon that The Head and The Heart broke through on last year. While their current single fits that mold, the finest moments on their new album Loma Vista lie in the sunny good feeling of songs like “St. Croix” and “Living on Love”.
