4 Bucks and All Proceeds to go The American Cancer Society
The Brisbones-Tennessee Breeze from Scene SC on Vimeo.
If you like Ryan Adams then you will like the The Brisbones. I mean, their music is in the same genre as his new stuff with The Cardinals, but that’s not why I say this. I say this because Michael Allen looks a lot like the Gold era Ryan Adams. Every time I have seen The Brisbones live, one of the main things I notice about them is that they are incredibly talented musicians who put on a great live show. From Michael Allen’s classic Americana voice to Hoheyun’s hot guitar licks through a classic amp they lay down the Rock n Roll thick for a dual telecaster set up. When it comes down to it, what ge’s everyone dancing at their shows is the rhythm and the groove and Ryan and Matt will have your hips shaking and your head rockin.
It was only seven years ago when I booked a festival in Rock Hill, SC for the American Cancer Society and Boxing Day came up and played a rockin set. The worst yet best part of that day was when they pulled up to the Cancer Benefest in a hearse. All they needed was some coffin guitar cases and the sad irony would be complete. That was years ago, but here Noel and Todd are still playing music for a good cause. American Gun has one of our top Albums of 2008 and a couple of shows at Art Bar that we are really looking forward to. Is there any word on a kissing booth at their show on Valentine’s Day at Art Bar??
Magnetic Flowers at Hunter-Gatherer from pxsoul on Vimeo.
A year ago Kevin Oliver and Patrick Wall listing Magnetic Flowers album Presents, Pasts & Futures in their top albums of 2007. So if you are a year off on your top 10’s or didn’t come check out the hype around Magnetic Flowers last year come see what everyone was writing about a year ago. Magnetic Flowers cater to the more educated listeners at Art Bar and Hunter Gatherer so if you aren’t a dumbass come check them out Saturday night.
Thank you so much, David! I can’t imagine anyone reading this and not wanting to come check this show out. Keep up the good work!
Really excited about this show! Doors are at 8 so get there early and don’t miss any of these great bands!
