The first show of WSBF’s free Spring Concert Series features up-and-coming band Dog Bite along with two of the Upstate’s freshest acts, Joie and Dear Sleeper.
Dog Bite will be visiting Clemson before setting out with Toro y Moi on a cross country tour from January 30-March 3. The Atlanta-based garage-pop band also has an upcoming 7″ split release with Toro. According to Pitchfork, the vinyl will be only for sale in person, on tour. (I’ve got my fingers crossed that they’ll be pressed in time for this show.) Catch this band for free while you can!!
Joie (pronounced àla française) is a trio of talented women from Greenville. Frequent guests of the Radio Room, Joie have been playing synthy, atmospheric rock around the Upstate for almost two years.
Dear Sleeper is a project of Cole Monroe, a Clemson Student and DJ at WSBF. His recently released debut album, Where, is about space and time and it’s great. I confess that he’s a good friend of mine, but I’m certain you’ll be hearing about Dear Sleeper from unbiased sources in the near future.
