Over the years I’ve heard a small crowd of folks complain about the music at Rosewood Crawfish Festival, but you won’t get any of that here.
Every year we’ve previewed the Crawfish Festival lineup and enjoyed the mix of solid local acts paired with a more nostalgic act that fits perfect with the festivals primary demographic. This year follows that same outline with Big Head Todd and the Monsters headlining the festival, along with a solid mix of styles on a local level. Recent festival headliners include Marcy Playground, Gin Blossoms, Tonic, Better Than Ezra, and Eve 6, a solid group of performers for a festival this size.
The Maple Street Stage and the South Howard Street stage show diversity in the local music scene with outlaw country rockers Say Brother headlining the Maple Street Stage and The Movement headlining the South Howard stage.
Rosewood Crawfish Festival is a festival catered towards lovers of all things Creole, Cajun, and Crawfish. With over 10,000 pounds of quality Crawfish cooked and served every which way, the festival has it covered. A family based festival, a majority of Rosewood Crawfish Festival proceeds go back into the community, improving Rosewood parks and green spaces, and also giving back to other local charities.
In addition to the music and food the fest also offers up a Crawdaddy Dash 5K, an Artists Village featuring 25 local artists, and a Lil Crawdaddy Carnival for the kids.
