Brigades Release Crocodile Tears on Pure Noise Records
Just after we covered Brigades new EP last year they took it offline, but for good reason. Pure Noise Records heard the same great things we heard in the EP and signed them, switched up some artwork and re-released the album to a wider audience where they’ve already received tons of positive support. Our words about Brigades last year still ring true. Their music meets at the point where hardcore meets pop, with a sense of musicianship and melody lost on most bands.
When I first I heard they got signed, I said “about fucking time.” Everything finally fell in place for a band full of talent, but one that was never locked in with a consistent lineup and supporting team. Now Pure Noise has given them the ability to focus on music with a bright light at the end of the tunnel. This year’s been a whirlwind for Brigades, playing high-profile local shows, filming and a releasing a video for “Small Town Crooks”, and gearing up for the release of Crocodile Tears. And people have finally taken notice. Their new video already has over 20,000 views, while they’re Facebook page has blown up with support. It looks like it’s just the beginning. Brigades take off on their first full tour in support of the EP at the end of May as they join Hit the Lights on dates throughout the Northeast.
The vinyl is sick, buy it here. I’m spinning the White w/Olive Green and Aqua Blue HAZE
