Stream “The Great Unknown” by Jukebox The Ghost Exclusively on Spotify
There’s no cure for the post-weekend Monday blues like Blue Moon and Brooklyn’s Jukebox the Ghost all for free at Charleston Pour House as part of the #FollowTheMoon tour presented by Spotify.
With their new single “The Great Unknown” and fourth studio album somewhere on the horizon, Jukebox the Ghost have a big summer ahead filled with stops across three countries. Timing is perfect for the trio, whose new song is an instant summer anthem. The upbeat piano driven single captures the feeling of change with confidence, probably the most common summer emotion when it comes to everyone’s youth. A break in the daily school routine leading to a new grade, new friends, or maybe a college experience in a new town. Whatever the change may be, Jukebox the Ghost urge you to move forward with certainty.
“The Great Unknown” was co-written by Jukebox the Ghost’s Ben Thornewill and fellow Brooklyn transplant Greg Holden. The crew behind the new single is an intertwined group of Brooklyn musicians. Recorded in L.A. with Dan Romer and Andrew Dawson (fun., Kanye West) the single takes on their pop sensibility. Romer also produced their third studio album in addition to albums from Ingrid Michaelson, Bess Rogers, Lelia Broussard and Jenny Owen Youngs, who are all part of the interwoven NYC crew including Greg Holden.
The #FollowtheMoon tour takes place in 5 cities nationally featuring a different band in each city. Jukebox the Ghost is in great company with the likes of Delta Spirit, Dr. Dog, and Moon Taxi who play the other dates.
