Members of Band of Horses, King Hippo, Captain Easy and Josh Roberts himself are playing shows as FOOT. Chances are, if you are a fan of one or many of those bands you are planning to be at The Pour House in Charleson on Friday, or Headliners on Saturday. It is an easy sell and should be highly entertaining.
So I’m trying to get you to go early.
Caleb Caudle and the Bayonets are an alt-country act out of Winston-Salem, NC who have made a name for themselves with strong songwriting and a sound that combines country influence with a distinct rock sound. Caleb (guitar, vocals) and Kyle Caudle (bass) both spent their formative years in Columbia, meeting up with drummer Chad Newsom in North Carolina.
While the band certainly excels in a more mellow acoustic form, according to the band they are becoming much more about the rock (paraphrase). Their current release “Stay On” came out in February and showcases the strong writing talent of a band that is constantly growing and changing.
You may not yet know them in Columbia and Charleston, but their reception in North Carolina should be more than enough to grab your attention. They will be supporting FOOT at both shows over the weekend so make sure you check them out!
On a side note, David’s crush Allison Weiss met a recording fundraising goal of $2,000 in well under a day. I think she should have a fundraising war with Treadmill Trackstar and then they could give Scene SC all the money.
You have two posts in a row. I have the internet again. I can’t wait to put hot girls on the banner.
The 3 readers of SceneSC.com have spoken and they have elected me ruler.
Caleb let us crash at his house but took all of the toilet paper, towels etc. out of his bathroom and stuffed them in his roommate’s car. Then he woke us up 5 hours later and asked us to leave.
