The Restoration is throwing a special video release “humdinger” tomorrow night at Headliners! Is “humdinger” a fancy 1800’s term? Anyone?
David helped film this, but he only went because he thought Daniel said “nude video.” Crazy David.
Press release:
“The Restoration is throwing a video release humdinger at Headliners on Thursday, May 28, 2009 to celebrate our new music video. We filmed the video live at Jam Room Studio with 7 cameras while performing a live studio recording of our new song ‘Drowning Mr. & Mrs. Palmer’.
We filmed the video live at Jam Room Studio with 7 cameras while performing a live studio recording of our new song ‘Drowning Mr. & Mrs. Palmer’.
We chose some of our favorite local film enthusiasts to operate the cameras and attend pre-production cinematography meetings – including Scene SC’s David Stringer, WXRY’s Ben Reynolds and Dr. Jessica Labbé of the USC English Department (who directed Testing Ground’s ‘Marilyn Meteorite’ video). Cory Plaugh, producer of Villanova’s Make Noise LP and The Folk Hop Band’s World Unknown LP, engineered, mixed and mastered the live audio for the video.
We will be handing out the video for free at the show on DVD as long as supplies last.
