Burnt Books || Rubrics || Abacus || Orchard Cycles – Saturday, February 21st – 9PM – $5
Following up a weekend of wonderful acoustic folk will be the heaviest soul crushing hardcore punk that South Carolina has to offer. From Columbia, Burnt Books, introduces an experimental hardcore sound that exhibits some serious musicianship as well as raw energy. Rubrics from Greenville, SC, blends sounds of heavy crust and pop punk. Abacus has the fury of grindcore and metal all rolled up in one. Last, but not least, Rock Hill’s own mathy spaz-core band Orchard Cycles. All four of these band will bring the energy and volume that you crave.
This morning Abacus announced a US + Canada tour in support of their upcoming album En Theory due out March 3 on Columbia based record label 10 Foot Woody. En Theory was engineered and produced by Phillip Cope at Jam Room Studio with engineer Zac Thomas and mastered by Brad Boatwright at Audioseige.
