Reminiscent of Jordan Igoe’s live version of ‘Rosetta’ similarly shot video on a grand piano on stage at Charleston Music Hall, Susto frontman Justin Osborne goes in-depth on “Chillin’ On The Beach With My Best Friend Jesus Christ”, speaking on some of the fun-loving song’s more serious undertones. Stripped down to just a piano you get a deeper glimpse inside the song, as Osborne sounds better than ever with just his voice and the ivory keys. Of all the changes he’s experienced over the years as a musician, the maturation of his voice, and his growth as a songwriter are the most evident.
Shot and edited by Wav Creative, Episode 1 is the first in a series focusing on the members lives in Charleston, and stories behind their songs. With their sophomore full length album on the horizon, it seems we’ll be catching some new material soon.
