Judging from everyone’s social media postings reflecting back on 2016, it’s been a hard sad year for a lot of people, but that’s not really the case for Dear Blanca. They’ve celebrated the release of not one, but two EPs, spent plenty of time on the road touring, and most recently were nominated for a JAY Award for artist of the year by Jasper Magazine.
You won’t be able to catch Dear Blanca live again this year, but you can kind of watch them ring in the New Year… They’ll be headlining New Brookland Tavern’s annual cover show as R.E.M. going on right at 12:01.
While in Atlanta recently they stopped in for a performance of their song “Joint Effort” atop SweetWater Brewery. The video was filmed and engineered by Taylor Nelson and Redmond Farley of Lake City Sounds and BalconyTV Atlanta.
